Ihre Position zwischen Getriebe und Hinterachse ermöglicht es, den Fahrzeugantrieb über einen speziellen Hydraulikkreis von mechanisch auf hydrostatisch umzustellen. Die hydromechanischen OPTIMA-Getriebesysteme sind auf geregelte Drehzahl ausgelegt und verfügen über eine zusätzliche Zapfwelle, sodass kein Hilfsmotor erforderlich ist.
